| I would like to apply for permit to increase the height of the front fence to 180 cm. Here are my reasons: 1.First, for safety. The current height of the front fence is 1 meter. My house does not have a garage, only a carport. It is not safe to park my car in the front yard because thieves can easily climb over the fence and open the gate of the yard. 2.Secondly, for privacy. The current height of the front fence is not enough to block passers-by from seeing our front yard and the inside of the house. 3. For landscaping. My neighbors' front fences is about 1.8 meters high, and my front fence is only 1 meter high, which seems very inconsistent. If I increase the front fence to the same height as my neighbors’, it will look more coordinated. The current front fence is brick and old. While raising the fence, I will also tidy up the old part to make the whole fence look more beautiful. I plan to make a hollow fence instead of a fully enclosed fence, and then I will plant some beautiful flowers near the fence, so that passers-by can see the flowers through the gaps in the fence but cannot see the people in the yard.
