ANEF stands for Australian Noise Exposure Forecast, the official forecast of how much aircraft noise a place gets. Higher is louder: blue (15–25) is where homes are generally considered acceptable, yellow and orange (25–35) is where new housing is discouraged, and red (35 and above) is the loudest ground under the flight path.
