Higher set older housing
If you cross the bridge and head into South Murwillumbah, just in between the train station and the town, you'll find that here the houses are all higher set because this area is all on the flat and is subject to flooding.
They all have quite a large set of stairs and mostly they’re all 50’s and 60’s post-war homes as well as some that even date back to the 40’s.
