Lifestyle factors
I loved growing up around this area because it's close to Cooper Park, which has got tennis courts, I’m also a very keen surfer and it’s an easy drive down to Bronte or Tamarama to surf but then you’re not there in the thick of things, you can kind of get away from it.
You've got Bellevue Road, where there’s been a lot of great cafes which have just opened up, and great little restaurants, so it’s become such a desirable area to live.
It’s also close to Double Bay which is booming at the moment with new cafes and restaurants the beauty of living here is that access to the city and the beaches is so easy.
Mix of apartments and large homes
Around Suttie Road and Warren Road it’s a bit more suburban than other parts of Bellevue Hill, mostly bigger houses and it’s more so young families who are living here, when you get up closer to Bellevue Road, and Carlotta Road, you'll find more apartments, younger couples, singles and downsizers.
Mix of people from different areas of Sydney
The lady who owns next door to where my folks are on Suttie Road, originally lived around the corner in a smaller house on Bellevue Hill, and we had a young family from Randwick on the other side.
If you look down the hill, people moved in next door from Randwick, people further down the hill moved originally from the inner west, and then they sold that property a few years ago and moved back to the inner west.
So it’s a pretty broad spectrum of areas where people are coming here from, but a lot seem to move from pretty close by - either Paddington, Woollahra, Bondi, Randwick and are moving across to get some bigger land.
